BREAST RECONSTRUCTION / CORRECTION

A slight disparity between the two breasts is perfectly normal. If the difference between both breasts is greater or if 1 breast is developed differently then this can impact your self-image. Depending on the type of abnormality, there are different techniques available to resolve this, each with its pros and cons.

Depending on the technique used, between 1-3 hours

Full anesthesia

• Infection

• Bleeding

• Pain and swelling

• Reduced nipple sensation

• Scars, these generally fade after a few months

• Assymmetry between the breasts

Non physically demanding work: 3 - 5 days

Physically demanding work: 3 - 6 weeks

Wearing a support bra for 6 weeks.

Try to avoid sports activities for at least 6 weeks.
