Due to the aging process, excess skin can develop thv the upper eyelids. This can cause problems when applying makeup, can lead to a feeling of weakness and result in a tired appearance.

On the upper eyelids, excess skin is removed whether or not combined with excess fat on the inside. The scar falls precisely into the eyelid crease and is no longer visible afterwards.

DURATION OF SURGERY

45 min to 1 hour

ANESTHESIA

Local anesthesia but full anesthesia is possible if desired

SIDE EFFECTS / COMPLICATIONS

Swelling

Blue discoloration
Asymmetry (extremely rare)
Wound problem (extremely rare)
Possible inability to close eyelid completely for 1 day (due to swelling)

RECOVERY PERIOD

You should cool the eyes with a cold pack (every hour for 5-10 minutes) for the first 2 days.
Physically demanding work: 1 week
Non physically demanding work: 2 days
Elevation of the head during the first week approximately 30° higher.
The continuous thread is removed after 1 week, star strips in place leave until on that control consultation.
