FULL ANAESTHETIC
RECOVERY TIME 2-3 WEEKS
As a result of the natural aging process, pregnancy or weight loss, we may see a volume decrease causing the breast to lose firmness, the nipple to be proportionally too low and excess skin to be present.
A breast elevator primarily restores shape and firmness without reducing volume. A breast elevator can be combined with an implant if desired.
By removing excess skin and raising the nipple and areola higher, as well as rearranging the glandular tissue, drooping breasts are returned to normal height and their shape is markedly improved. If "upper pole" filling is desired, the combination with an implant should be discussed.
Slight swelling
Decreased nipple sensation (generally returns)
Widened scars if one is predisposed to them or if infection would occur.
Infection (rare)
Hemorrhage (rare)
Assymmetry between the breasts
Physically demanding work: 2 weeks
Non physically demanding work: 3 - 5 days
Wearing a support bra for 6 weeks.
Avoid sports activities for 4 - 6 weeks.
Depends:
Own skin elasticity
Gravity (weight of the breasts)
Aging (reduced skin elasticity)
Pregnancy
These are all factors that contribute to the re-sagging of the breasts. If one inserts, simultaneously with or even better prior to lifting, prostheses, the result is more durable.
